In La Piazza, our bar and restaurant modelled after the jovial gathering squares of Italy, sip from a menu curated around a selection of the King of Wines, and the Wine of Kings: Barolo. No Italian dinner is complete without vini, and this multi-course meal will satisfy wine and food lovers looking to celebrate the holiday season with a special evening.

Barolo is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a prized variety grown in certified areas in the northern region of Piemonte. Across the world, the complex wine is renowned for its bold flavours and graceful ageing. Sip on a tasting menu of three pours of the prized red, with paired with five dishes from our chefs.

PIZZA AL PADELLINO

Pizza al padellino, or “pan pizza,” is a type of pizza that’s baked in small, round pans. Think of it like Italian-style “deep dish.” Typically served in Torino, pizza al padellino has a thick soft crust, that gets slightly browned on the outside when baking. It can be topped with a variety of ingredients, from prosciutto to mozzarella. At La Piazza, our chefs have created over a dozen different varieties to choose from, like Salsiccia – prepared with our housemade fennel sausage, housemade mozzarella, Mutti tomato, locally-sourced peppers and red onion – or Melanzane, featuring Mutti tomato, roasted eggplant, basil, chili flake, housemade mozzarella, and Pecorino Romano DOP.

We’ve partnered with Toronto’s Euclid Farms, a smallscale urban flower farm that sources rare and heirloom varieties of herbs and botanicals from around the world. Our mixologists have created a rotating menu of cocktails infused with blooms and greens grown in micro-farms in the city’s West End.
